Video posted by the celebrity Web site showed Spears driving a black convertible into a silver Mercedes-Benz in a parking lot in the 12800 block of Ventura Boulevard. The video shows Spears getting out of her car, asking if she “hurt” it, surveying it for damage and then walking into an adjacent building as a crowd of paparazzi photographed and videotaped her. She was charged Sept. 21 by the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office. Spears’ attorney reached a financial settlement with the owner of the Mercedes-Benz, prompting the dismissal of the misdemeanor charge. Spears is spending a lot of money on attorneys of late. She lost primary custody of her two sons to ex-husband Kevin Federline Oct. 4 after a Superior Court commissioner ruled she violated his order to be drug tested and get a California driver’s license. She has since regained some monitored visitation with the two boys. Spears and Federline are expected to appear in Los Angeles Superior Court tomorrow for another custody hearing. 160Want local news?Sign up for the Localist and stay informed Something went wrong.
